Hi!
So a small post for fun. I should go to bed but my head is full of all sorts of thoughts and ideas.

On the subject of fanfic, I finally finished My Person! It's been online for a moment now and I'm happy to have finished that story. I'm currently working on a personal writing project that has nothing to do with fanfic. You know, rationally and legally, I totally get (and agree) as to why fanfic writers can't make money out of our work. That doesn't mean I don't wish we could. I enjoy writing fanfics a lot and it be a great job. Actually, any writing job would fill me up with joy. I'm sad to say I'm not in the scrubs wave as much. While I do enjoy JD/Cox a whole lot, it's been a while since the show finale and I don't expect much from season nine. Which bring me to shows and fandom i'm into at the moment:

AN: So this is it! Final part! I had fun writing it, I hope you will enjoy it. I tried to tie in as many things as I could, to make this full and complete. I huge thank you to sosaith , who has been a consistently giving and forgiving beta. I learned so much working with her! You have no idea how much cleaning she does to the story; it wouldn’t be nearly as nice to read without her. A huge thanks to my girlfriend who always read my chapters when I’m worried about them not being to par and for always being so honest about what needs to be fixed. And finally thank you all for reading this, commenting, criticizing and encouraging me to continue. This is the first, full-length story that I finish, and to me it’s a huge accomplishment. I learned so much about writing, discipline and planning with this. I encourage anyone who has the urge to write, to try it out! Here it goes ;)

Hi everyone!

Today I’m going to talk about something a little different. I’m currently working on a project (you might or might not have noticed the countdown on my page) and as the deadline gets closer I’m entering my “panic” mode. I’m starting to rush my work, which I know I shouldn’t do and I’m also procrastinating, which is pretty much ridiculous. I’m also listening a little too much to the “little hater voice” that is telling me my work is total garbage so why should I bother anyway?

And it’s stupid it really is.

I know it’s just me being a worrywart because the deadline is coming. I’ve known that for years and I’m absolutely aware of it. I’ve improved a little… But it’s still giving me a hard time. I should know better by now. And I know it’s normal to have those moments, I just have a hard time shaking them off.

So, I guess what I’m saying is, does anyone have tricks to help themselves refocus? I’d love to hear what you guys have to say about that. Also, to anyone who is going trough the same thing I am… DON’T GIVE UP. Keep your eyes on the prize and reach out to people you trust!

I know, I know, practice what you preach. That’s another problem eh?

On a totally unrelated note: I know it’s been forever since I updated my person! My chapter is all done, it’s been done for over 2 months but my beta and I have fallen out of communication and I’ve been looking for a new one. Please be patient and I haven’t given up yet!

Well that’s it for today! Just writing it down really helped shake me up!

Since I’m not working on fanfics right now* I’m not around as much, so I decided to start posting once in a while. I’ll write about TV shows, movies, books, comics… Basically what I’m into or not into at the moment! I’ll do some rec list too, to spread the love (if anyone is even reading my posts).

Right now I’m watching a few shows, but I’d split them in shows I adore and shows I like. You know, shows that you’ll watch because they have a good idea, but there’s stuff off about them that stops them from being amazing.

Show I adore right now:
Nurse Jackie:
By far, the best medical shows around. I can’t wait for the next season! The characters are so human, so flawed and yet so incredibly lovable. From Jackie, whom clearly need some help with her addiction and self-destructive tendencies to Coop who has lesbian moms and a tendency to grope people in a sexual way when under stress… The storylines that were started all sound very promising and I can’t wait to see where they lead!

Madmen:
The new season feels more concise then the last and I’m glad to finally see them exploring some of the other characters, especially Salvator homosexuality and Joan’s life as a married woman of the time.

Show I like:
The Mentalist:
I like the idea of Patrick’s abilities to read people and to use it in a crime solving way… Unfortunately the show often falls into patterns, and you can often guess the ending in the five first minutes. But the characters are charming and it’s easy to watch. 

Flashpoint:
I was glad to see this show return. The characters are charming and entertaining even thought the show often falls back on some clichés. Also, slash potential anyone?

Grey’s Anatomy:
Season six is better then season five because, well, the characters feel less out of the left field. It’s not mind blowing, but it’s fun. I still haven’t forgiven the whole Erica Hann thing.

I watch other stuff too on occasion, like Gossip Girl, Project Runway, America Next Top Model and Top Chef. I wonder, what you people are into lately? Anything good to sugest?

AN:  Well shit, this part really wrote itself. I think it took me two days. It is such a contrast to part IV. And to say that I intended this fanfic to be 4 parts, 5 maximum, and here we are, part 5 and far from done. I blame you guys! Your feedback made me want to work harder and not half ass this story!
